The open position is a salaried, Full Time Employee 8:30AM-5PM job at Araneo’s Cuba Street offices.

The successful applicant will
Manage the Site Survey process:
- Use a GIS application for tracking locations
- Use a contact management database
- Schedule appointments to get technicians on to sites
- Prepare site plans showing where antennas will be mounted and cables run
Manage New Orders:
- Perform basic functions in our accounting package
- Interface with accounts team to request particular actions
- ensure materials are provided to installers
- schedule installation and QC visits
- document installations
Manage Inventory:
- keep local inventory synchronized with accounting system
- order new standard inventory items when supplies run low
Provide Technical Assistance:
- perform basic network diagnostic tests like ping and traceroute
- act as a pair of “remote hands” for difficult technical tasks
Provide Office Assistance:
- interface with couriers in sending and receiving packages
- ensure office supplies are kept in stock and at the ready
- travel in own or company vehicle to run miscellaneous errands
The following skills are required for all applicants:
- Data Entry
- Microsoft Visio
- Adobe Photoshop
- Microsoft Office
- Adobe Acrobat
- (OSS Equivalents of above software packages acceptable)
- Clear, precise written and spoken English
- Basic understanding of packet networks
- Valid and unrestricted drivers license
The following skills are desirable:
- Ability to use Linux/Unix
- Any understanding of radio or wireless
- Previous work with trades people
- Previous experience with an IT Help Desk
