How big is the Market?
An outline of the potential demand for Araneo services.
While we initially target business organizations with Internet spend of $300+/month, with capital to finance equipment purchases and subsidize installation costs, our potential market within five years is every business and farm in New Zealand. Once infrastructure is in place servicing business customers, economies of scale allow for entry into the high-end residential market.
It is highly likely that broadband will become the method of choice for delivery of all media within the next twenty years. Wireless can and should be in direct competition with AM/FM broadcast radio, VHF and UHF Television, Cable and Satellite Television, Land-line telephone, and, of course, xDSL and Cable Internet services. A wireless infrastructure, combined with fibre assets and long-term leases on broadcast sites and spectrum, can and should easily surpass the reach, quality, and profitability of a copper based network, with an ultimate potential customer base of every household in New Zealand.
