Araneo have deployed New Zealand's first Gigabit wireless link (1.25gbps, or 1250mbps), between Sky Tower and ANZ Centre Auckland. The link is operating under a special license from the Ministry of Economic Development in the 60GHz frequency band. New links are being planned today, and commercial gigabit service availability is slated for Q1 2007.
